Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences is currently accepting applications for an Admissions Specialist.
This position provides daily operational and clerical support to the Office of Enrollment Management and is a key infrastructure position within the College of Medicine Admissions Department. The Admissions Specialist is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the successful transition of prospective students to the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. This person will provide information about the college admission process and represent the college to prospective students, their families, and other constituents. The position will work closely with faculty and staff and serve as the department's primary contact. Duties of this position will consist of utilizing technical database management skills to maintain the integrity of the application management system by ensuring receipt of application materials from a third-party, reviewing files, and classifying supporting documents. This position audits admissions and enrollment data for adherence with college policies and procedures and accreditation standards. Murray State College is currently accepting applications for a Transfer Coordinator.
This position reports to the Registrar and is responsible for assisting with functions related to transfer credits and transcripts. This position is responsible for ensuring data quality in the registration system.
Description of Duties:
1. Evaluation and transcription of transfer credits into Colleague System
2. Process both paper and electronic transcript requests through the National Student Clearinghouse and other electronic request entities.
3. Assist students, faculty, and staff with transfer evaluation.
4. Review and ensure accurate data in the computerized system.
5. Enter data into the computerized registration system. This includes updating student demographic information such as address, phone number, email, etc.
6. Assisting the Registrar with project management and assessment of efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Assist with correspondence from students, staff , and faculty including but not limited to emails, phone calls and in-person communication.
8. Assists in problem resolution regarding academic student records, and routes issues to other staff as appropriate.
9. Perform general office duties; i.e., file preparation, answering phone, file documents, preparing general correspondence, audit files, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Student Success leads a holistic advising program that supports students from admission through graduation. This position will enhance orientation, advising, and matriculation success. The Director implements new strategies, re-envision existing programs, and increases student persistence. The Director reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
PRIMARY DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Establish relevant policies, procedures, and practices to support student success • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate academic advisors • Provide leadership for first-year and transfer experiences • Build institutional awareness of and provide consultation on retention and persistence • Oversee recruitment of and training for first-year experience course instructors • Develop, implement, and enhance early intervention strategies • Develop, implement, and enhance first-year experience and transfer experience policies, procedures, and practices • Develop and monitor annual budget. • Collaborate and provide support for orientation and advising activities • Serve on university committees • Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: • The Director will possess strong oral and written communication skills. The Director will build rapport with students, faculty, staff, administration, and community members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree from accredited college or university preferred, bachelor’s degree and three years in student success position minimum.
Experience developing and implementing student success programs
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility in problem-solving
Excellent organizational, writing, interpersonal, and speaking skills
Experience facilitating collaboration within a diverse constituency
Genuine desire and ability to work with and relate to college students
Experience with student information system and web-based applications relevant to the duties of the Director

Registrar's Responsibilities:
The Registrar plays a key role in the integrated student enrollment services model (a one-stop shop) to ensure excellent customer service to students and other constituents while increasing the efficiency of the enrollment services area.
Responsibilities include overseeing the University’s academic calendar and semester/term schedule of dates; maintaining and developing efficient use of the student information system (Colleague) as it pertains to student records, registration, and academic policy; coordinating class scheduling; coordinating course registration; ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and agency regulations affecting academic programs; administering academic policies and grade processing; supervising the coordination and evaluation of graduation applications; developing and administering the credit evaluation process; processing transcripts; managing and evaluating staff; developing and writing reports for internal and external entities; and performing other duties as assigned.
Communicate and enforce academic policies with faculty and students, such as admission and transfer requirements, academic standing (academic alert, probation, and suspension statuses), midterm and final grades, add/drop and withdrawal processes, and degree completion requirements. Chair the Academic Appeals Committee, which reviews cases of academic dishonesty, grade appeals, and suspension appeals.Develop academic and enrollment reports for internal and external entities, including (but not limited to) the National Student Clearinghouse and Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and agency regulations affecting and related to academic programs, such as the Higher Learning Commission, FERPA, NCAA, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, specialized accreditation programs, and the State Accrediting Agency and Veterans Affairs.
Coordinate campus-wide academic advising by working with administrative assistants on 30/60/90 degree checks and requisite mismatches and training faculty advisors on using the degree audit system. Assist faculty and students with major/minor changes, transfer policies, and other details that affect student enrollment and degree completion.
Manage the University’s academic calendar, semester and term dates, course and final exam schedules, and student enrollment, registration, and graduation procedures.
Participate in the Academic Affairs Committee, Deans’ Council, and Graduate Council to contribute to changes in academic policies and practices, enrollment management procedures, and degree program requirements.
Communicate changes in academic policies and practices, course descriptions, and degree program requirements in the yearly catalog and degree audit systems in Colleague.
Supervise and evaluate Registrar’s Office employees. Communicate and enforce all institutional policies and procedures as outlined by Human Resources.
Regulate the credit evaluation process. Work with the Articulation & VA Coordinator to develop and implement domestic and international articulation agreements and transfer policies.
